No referral, no waiting list and no jargon. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you choose a test to the moment your results land in your inbox.

Qualified phlebotomist taking a blood sample from a relaxed patient
  1. 1

    Choose your test

Search by test name, symptom or individual biomarker. Every page lists exactly what is measured, the price and the turnaround time.

  2. 2

    Book your appointment

Pick Widnes or Crewe and a time that suits you. Most appointments take 10–15 minutes from arrival to leaving.

  3. 3

    Give your sample

A qualified phlebotomist takes your blood sample, labels it in front of you and sends it to the laboratory the same day.

  4. 4

    Get your results

Results are returned securely by email, with your reference ranges. If anything needs urgent attention we call you.

Preparing for your appointment

  • • Drink plenty of water beforehand — it makes taking the sample much easier.
  • • Wear a top with sleeves that roll up comfortably.
  • • Fast for 8–12 hours (water only) if your test covers cholesterol, lipids or glucose.
  • • Bring a list of any medication or supplements you take regularly.
  • • Tell us if you have ever fainted during a blood test — we will take our time.
