Cheshire Bloods Clinic is a trading name of Your Baby Scan Ltd — a Cheshire healthcare company built over eleven years on fully qualified clinicians, good value for money and genuinely exceptional service.
Our story begins with ultrasound. Eleven years ago we set up Your Baby Scan to bring high-quality, fully qualified, affordable pregnancy scanning to families across Cheshire. From early reassurance scans to 4D bonding sessions, the same principles ran through everything — qualified sonographers, fair prices and a level of care people remembered and recommended.
When we added blood testing for our pregnancy patients, we expected the same standard. What we found instead was a service that too often lacked it: scarce appointments with qualified phlebotomists, unclear pricing and results that patients struggled to make sense of. So we did what we had done before — we built the service we wanted to find.
That decision became Cheshire Bloods Clinic. We took what we had learnt about availability, value and exceptional service, and grew the team around it with experienced phlebotomists and accredited laboratory partners. Today we run two clinics in Widnes and Crewe, offering over a hundred private blood tests — from a single vitamin D check to comprehensive well person screening — and patients travel to us from across Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Staffordshire.
Every sample is taken by an experienced phlebotomist and analysed by UKAS-accredited pathology laboratories — the same laboratories used by NHS and private hospitals. Your results come back with reference ranges and an explanation you can actually use, either to reassure yourself or to take to your GP.
We are also expanding. Clinician-led testosterone replacement therapy and erectile dysfunction treatment are in development, so the same clinic that identifies an issue can help you do something about it.
Every sample is taken by a qualified phlebotomist you will meet by name.
Phlebotomist — Widnes Clinic
Catherine looks after our Widnes clinic on Victoria Road, taking samples for everything from a single vitamin D check to full well person screening. She is known for a calm, unhurried approach — particularly with nervous patients, children of 16 and over, and anyone who has been told before that they have difficult veins.
Phlebotomist — Crewe Clinic
Rachael runs our Crewe clinic on Nantwich Road, drawing samples for patients travelling in from across south Cheshire and north Staffordshire. She takes the time to explain exactly what is being tested and what happens next, so you leave knowing when and how your results will arrive.
Every sample we draw at our Widnes and Crewe clinics is processed by established UK laboratories working to UKAS accredited standards, so your results are as reliable as those from any hospital pathology service.
